In the thousand-year-old region of the Tierra del Vino de Zamora, enriched by the passage of pilgrims who have walked the Vía de la Plata for centuries, Bodegas Viñas del Cenit makes sense through some of the most unique centenary vineyards in Spain. Viñas del Cenit was born in 2006 with the aim of maintaining the incalculable wine heritage of the area and converting it into unforgettable wines.

The Duero River crosses landscapes of vineyards from its source, on both sides of its course, from the cold province of Soria, giving meaning to regions such as La Ribera del Duero, Rueda or Toro and reaching the Land of Wine of Zamora shortly before change its name as it moves into neighboring Portugal. The Vía de la Plata has been so decisive for the area as it has led to a large influx of pilgrims who introduced different grape varieties to the area, giving rise to the selection over the years of the best clones and best adaptations of the same, thus coming to have a clone of Tempranillo totally unique and with great personality.

The Zamora region of Tierra del Vino has been dedicated to wine production since the 11th century, according to the oldest texts found. Historically, the economy of the area was based 100% on the production of wine and the production of brandy. This winemaking tradition and the love for the vineyards of the inhabitants of the area have made it possible to preserve the vineyards over 150 years old, particularly in the area where the winery is located, in the town of Villanueva de Campeán.

With these unique vineyards and with the love for them that the people who take care of them continue to profess for them throughout the entire cycle of the vine, great wines are weaved every year that are built with a unique balance between the power and the character that gives the area, and a wonderful acidity that gives them finesse, elegance and ability to live and evolve in the bottle for years.
