About MENDEL
Mendel Wines, located in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina, is known for crafting elegant, high-quality wines, especially from Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in their old vineyards. The winery was founded by Anabelle Sielecki and named in honor of her father, a successful businessman and wine enthusiast. Anabelle partnered with the highly respected winemaker Roberto de la Mota to transform the family's historic 1928 vineyard into the renowned estate it is today. Mendel's wines have garnered numerous awards and high praise for their depth, structure, and ability to age gracefully. Their flagship Malbec comes from old vines planted in 1928, aged in Taransaud Burgundy barrels, creating a wine with great depth and stature. They also produce a rare, single-vineyard Semillon from 60+ year-old vines in the Uco Valley.
