About IVORY & BURT
A handshake between the past and the present, Ivory & Burt Wines are a nod to Lodi’s first general store, the center of Lodi in 1869. Crafted with purpose. Connected with community.
Settled in 1859 and officially incorporated in 1906, Lodi’s first citizens flocked to the area for the developing railroad and chose to stay for the agriculture opportunities.
From wheat to watermelons, Lodi’s original crops took advantage of the same Mediterranean climate and soil that makes it a prime location for growing premium wine grapes today.
Lodi is California's largest winegrowing region. Located just 100 miles east of San Francisco in the San Joaquin Valley, Lodi is the leading producer of classic California varietals, such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. This land is also home to the largest collection of old vine Zinfandel vineyards in California.
